Perhaps
one of the most delicious, light and healthy desserts for children and adults
is jelly. Today it can easily buy in any store, and can be prepared at home,
spending on the cooking process about an hour. This exquisite delicacy can
become a real decoration of the festive table. Berry jelly – the original and
healthy dessert. Properly cooked, it retains the taste and aroma of fresh
berries. It can be used as a separate and eye-catching dish, if you make it
with cheap candy molds,
and for decorating pastries and cakes.
1. Select
berries for making jelly. The most delicious jelly could be made with blackberries,
strawberries, different varieties of currant, cranberry. If you decide to make
jelly with the red currants, gelatin, and take in two times less – it contains
pectin, vegetable gelling agent. Pick over berries and wash. Allow to drain off
the excess water, placing them in a colander.
2. Soak
gelatine in cup with cold water for 1-2 hours. Dissolve it in a water bath with
constant stirring, without boiling.
3. Part
of the prepared berries aside for decorating the finished jelly. Crush berries
in a mortar or RUB them through a sieve. Give the released juices to settle.
Pour it into a separate bowl. Berry puree pours two cups of water and put on
fire. Bring to a boil, add the sugar. Boil until sugar is dissolved. Remove
from heat and let berry the broth to cool slightly.
4. Strain
the broth through a linen cloth. Pair it with berry juice. At constant stirring
pour in this mixture is slightly cooled gelatin solution.
5. Washed
the molds for jelly pour cold water inside. Put on the bottom of the berries
and cover them with the mixture of broth with gelatin. Put jelly in the fridge
for a quicker thick.
6. Before serving on the table with the pistol
jelly silicone mold with jelly dip for a few seconds in hot water.
Empty contents on a dessert plate. Garnish with leaves of fresh mint.
